OUR GOAL
Here at RGV-SIL, we are driven by a single goal;
to do our part in making sure the young adults that leave RGV-SIL, leave with life skills to become independent successful adults.
We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our young adults.
With nurturing support, encouragement and guidance, young adults living at RGV-SIL are empowered by mentoring adults and provided opportunities every young adult deserves to have.
WHAT WE DO
RGV-SIL provides transitional services to youth, males and females, ages 18-21, aging out of foster care.
CRITERIA

Young adults must complete the SIL application and obtain a referral from their DFPS caseworker

Once the referral and application are completed, it gets sent to state office for approval.

Young adults will complete an interview and take a tour of the program. If accepted, the young adult must accept placement within 72 hours.

A young adult must meet one of the following criteria: working at least 80 hours a month, attending high school or 6 hours of college courses, or involved in a volunteer/job skills program.
